The Salary Saga

This summer there has been a deal of discussion in the media about high salaries in the third sector.  I have been involved in recruitment a number of times at charities, and despite what people seem to be saying, I am always pleasantly surprised, given the calibre of the candidates interested in the role, by their lack on focus on the ‘salary element’.

It is quite clear to me that, for the best candidates, money is not the main driving factor even for the more senior roles in the charity sector.
